The French Premier, Raphael Fernandez, had been engaged to Princess Margeretha of Sweden for many months. The two met at a grand party at Versailles on June 6th, 1900. They spent many days together. At the end of her time in France, Fernandez personally escorted her home to Sweden. There, he requested permission from the king to propose to her. At the time, Fernandez was not the French leader, and her father, Oscar II of Sweden, agreed to let them marry.
In recent days, after Fernandez succeeded power because of the unexpected death of Loubet, Oscar II forbid his daughter to marry Fernandez saying that he did not have the right to succeed power. In response, France declares war on Sweden and has dispatched it's army of 250,000 troops.

The weather has been most unfortunate for our troops, causing a delay in travel time. If all goes well they should arrive by day break tomorrow.

(Note: Now that I'm thinking about it, 200,000 troops is still excessive. Just a thought, 45k in soldiers would be able to take the area. It'd be hard to gain that many willing soldiers for the reasoning of this war.)
Ceres Soveign commends the presence of the French but however, an excessive military retaliation should not have been the response. Policy should've been placed beforehand.

The large amount of troops is a bit concerning. Especially since it is near our sovereign borders. Though we do not think the French are feigning there purpose, we will have a small military presence on our shores, and have naval ships patrolling the waters near Germany.

(Yet when Britain sent 200,000 to Ireland there was no issue? Also the large amount of troops was to ensure as little resistance and death as possible.)

(Invading Ireland involves Britain going in the opposite direction, away from Germany, so naturally, there is little concern from them; though we really don't need 200,000 to take these "unformed lands", I was concerned about that too, just wanted to make sure it happened, so, I'm definitely glad that Ceres cleared that up and we can now move on and not make that wasteful mistake again.)

(Alright I just want to make sure considering that 200,000 was an adequate amount as previously discussed.)

(Well, that was to say that it was a reasonable amount to have as total military force in your county, given the amount of military research completed by both France, and Britain for that matter, which is none, and to just simply being realistic in the fact that the countries were only recently organized under what is still new leadership so they don't have a very big military for that reason as well, it wasn't to say that that was how much was needed to take an unorganized, unclaimed country. But hey, G I Joe and now we know, haha, so applicable here, even if America doesn't exist on our map yet.)

(well now we know for the future.) Germany has nothing to fear for France as we have no inclination to attack an ally.

(Response to Ceres: Yes, our was more peaceful, but again, I simply did not know how many to send and so, it became more of a presence than a mere annexation, again, the mistake will not be made again.)

French troops have encountered little resistance as they were not prepared for an all out offensive. France should have control of the capital within the next few days.

We are now in control of Sweden. The little resistance they had has been shut down. Our newly acquired resources are available to any who wish to trade.
